WINTER CAMP DAY 2
Oh BOY...Where should we even begin...?
AM ~
We woke up to an enormous breakfast buffet, worship in singing, an encouraging quiet time and a snow sculpting competition. Tim Cicone led us in reading Luke 15 and comparing the 3 parables. The students did a great job breaking them down and realizing that God will SEARCH for them because they are special to HIM and HE will REJOICE when HE finds THEM. A lot of the children have felt really conected to Tim when he speaks, many of them feel that his messeges have really drawn them closer to God. Amazing words to hear from our students!
For the sculpting contest, our students had to sculpt a snowman, a dog and a toilet! You will be proud to read that our PCC-er's clearly won first place for all three!
NOON-ish ~
We packed a lunch at camp and headed to the snow park. We know that all the students had an amazing time in the snow and they are excited to share thier individual stories with you. It was a beautiful, exciting and exhausting afternoon in God's Glory.
PM ~
After a time of rest (for most) , we had a big dinner, another session with Tim, cabin time and a game of EXTREME dodge ball. Tim talked to us about God's Mercy and Grace. Again, the students connected and showed MUCH desire to grow or deepen thier relationship with God. During our cbain time relationships were built, many of the students were willing to be honest and open which encouraged others to share. From PCC, 3 of our students accepted Chirst!!!
Transitioning from small group's in our cabin to extrmeme doge ball came naturally to our PCC students! We might not have always been on top...but we certainly gave it our all. We had to head to our cabins by 10pm, but that definetly doesnt mean we were in bed.
We have had such a great weekend and the students have so much so share!
Please pray that the students retain what they learned about God and themselves this weekend. Pray that the leaders can contiue to built realtionships that last beyond winter camp. Pray for safety as we drive home and that we are able to keep bathroom breaks to a minimum.
Can't wait to be home...
Thanks for praying for us!
